I have left the congregation that I had been attending for the last 20 years.

I was in a care group. When the C19 pandemic first started, I was sharing articles about the C19 pathogen and the mRNA jab to the group whatsapp discussion. The group leader knows us since we started attending the church. He could have sent a message to me privately to ask me not to send such articles to the group chat. Instead, he sent a message to the chat, telling all members to refrain from sending articles concerning the C19 virus and the jab and political matters to the chat. The church was equally "quiet" about the pandemic issue while following strictly to the Govt's narrative and protocol. This to me is a non thinking act. I left the congregation. To me, looking back, this pandemic is indeed linked to politics. Our govt participates in this mass destruction of small businesses and people's lives.

The fact that churches, religions, religious leaders and people of faith so badly failed to recognize the obvious evil in the fake pandemic, with all its trappings, is and was telling (and disappointing) indeed.

As an octogenarian living in the UK, I also have struggled with the denial of the parishioners of my small church to question any of the state’s interventions during the tragedy that enveloped the world over the past four years. I also have asked “Where is God in all of this breakdown of society” and have gradually found the same answer that you discuss here. Thank you for sharing your thoughts; I feel less alone.

As a devout lifelong Christian, I was extremely disappointed in the capitulation of the church to being shut down with Covid. I have compassion on individual Christians having placed their trust in doctors who were supposed to be trusted experts. However, the truth is now out and those who remain willfully ignorant do so at their own peril. We must pray for God to open eyes to the truth. As individual parts of the body of Christ we cannot function alone. We vitally need the fellowship of believers, but may have to seek out like-minded fellowship in different places; however, God can use us who see the truth, to help others with gentleness and patience to also see the truth. Remember, most of us have to hear something 8 times before we start to seriously consider it. Like Christ, we need to have compassion on the blind, even in our congregations. I am a nurse practitioner who almost died from the first bioweapon jab mandated by my employer, and continue to suffer daily and fight for my life. I have been upheld by the prayers and love of God's people some of whom I've never met who have not been a part of the gaslighting. The thing that keeps me sane is the knowledge that God is using all of this evil to accomplish His good purposes. In the same way that Christ's disciples could not comprehend the good that God was accomplishing through Christ's awful crucifixion, I know that God has promised to bring me good through all of this suffering! Rom 8:18‭ For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

Amen. And perhaps someday Dr. Kory will recognize how inextricably intertwined spiritual and physical health are.

I consider this practice to be one of secular Buddhism (like me!). We have compassion for all sentient beings.

But then again some sacred music rocks...

Enjoy all your posts!

But I think technically your practice is not Christian but native American :)!
