Indeed, I’m a weirdo. That’s part of why I’m treating PASC and vax injury while most practitioners want you to get a fifth booster. And glad that your children were fortunate to have your selfless parenting. Thanks for reading.

Scott: I’m so happy to hear that you still do co-counseling; & really appreciate that you talk about it in these Stack posts. I’m an (infrequent) pt at Leading Edge & therefore know the work you’re doing is incredibly important. I was in the local RC community a number of years ago for quite awhile, so I have context. All to say: ✅—->>>>>>Your Stacks are incredibly place & space descriptive & vivid, funny as hell, full of self awareness, empathy, sarcasm, curiosity & humor. Your RC background comes through in your kindness, non-defensive tone & ability to see the best in people. You’re a gem💎 and our community & planet 🌎 are grateful🙏 for your efforts. Kira

Thank you Kira. I appreciate the feedback, especially on a Sunday morning when I'm summoning up the energy to write another chapter of Lightning Bug.

Your humor was noted and appreciated. We’ve been through similar interviews with reference checks for cat adoptions. The practice of RC is still a useful tool in my life. In fact, my most regular co-counselor has long haul or PASC, and our relationship has been of tremendous value to both of us in our recovery, myself from vaccine injury. Because it helps me think more clearly, my patients have benefitted from the opportunity I get every week to yawn, laugh and cry as we try to make our way through these post Covidian times.

That is a little weird that you got a vasectomy in your 20's. It is just so uncommon and speaks to some childhood trauma which you have described I guess. Interestingly you sought to validate yourself by being available to various family.

I honestly never looked at my children as validating. I was promted by spirituality, love and was driven to create and nuture new life. Each one (3) that were handed to me were primarily another job that I needed to do well. There are many times I didn't do parenting properly but I am the only lasting foundation that my kids turn to.

Nothing weird about it, quite the contrary. Before I qualified to be a foster home for a Golden Retriever rescue group, I first had a phone interview, an in-person interview, and had to give three personal references (which were all called). Before I applied a dog-loving friend told me to be prepared for such an examination, saying, “And you'll later wonder why people who want to bring a child into the world aren't held to the same standard.”

ps, meant my comment to be a bit of light humor as it was when my friend laughingly told me what to expect, occurs to me, I could have expressed it better here. And have wanted to say thank you for talking about your RC experiences. It was a difference-maker for me. Was very surprised when I read you were ousted, the powers that be going with the more suppressive mode is not what I'd have expected.
